Ministries :: St. George's Episcopal School
St. George's Episcopal School began in 1966 as a ministry of St. George's Episcopal Church. Initially, the school offered a morning program for children ages 3 to 5, which was primarily attended by children of the church's parishioners. Over the years, St. George's has become a full-day school serving a diverse population of students of many faiths.
Over the years, hundreds of children have taken their first steps in their educational journey at St. George's. The school offers a strong academic structure, disciplinary guidelines, moral and spiritual nurturing, all within a safe environment.
The school serves children ranging from 6 months to pre-K (4- to 5-year-olds). The school day is 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with extended care options from 7:00-8:30 am (Early Birds) and 3:30-6:00 pm (Fun Zone).
St. George's School is fully accredited by the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools and Texas Rising Star, and licensed through the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services.
St. George's Church is represented in the school though membership on the board of directors; providing support to the school, including the use of its facilities and grounds; and offering spiritual guidance through the rector's frequent presence, including weekly chapel services.
